Search
You may browse or search the publications by regions, categories
or publishing date. We also offer "Keyword Search"
function which can be easily found on nearly every page of
our website.
Every
publication in BookShop has a detailed page which contains
publication title, publishing date, language versions available,
and a synopsis. For some publications, you can even access
a "Table of Contents" for more detailed information.
To browse the detailed page of a publication, simply clicking
its title or image.
Softcopy
Apart from the printed version, softcopy of selected publications
is also available in the BookShop. The softcopy enables
you to read on a computer by using Adobe Acrobat Reader.
Once
you have placed your order for the softcopy successfully
(and subject to TDC's receipt of payment), you will receive
a notification with a download link. This link will take
you to a page to obtain the softcopy that you have purchased.
Please be reminded that the download link will be valid
for 7 days from the date of purchase.
Adding
Items
If you want to order a book, simply key in the quantity
you would like to order and click the "Add to Shopping
Cart" button.
Special of the Month
Customers in Hong Kong who have purchased any promotional item selected by TDC during a designated period may receive a free gift for each completed order (only while stock lasts). A letter will be issued to each relevant customer to redeem the gift. TDC reserves the right to make the final decision in case of any disputes.

The "Shopping Cart" holds all the books you have
decided to order and you can order as many as you want.
You can view the books that you have ordered by clicking
the "Shopping Cart" button.
The
"Shopping Cart" enables you to review, remove
or change the quantity of your placed items.
Check
Out
When you click the "Check Out" button and select
your destination, you will be asked to provide us the delivery
information. TDC shall not be responsible for any error
in the delivery information provided to it, and all publications
are delivered at your own risks.
Postage
Postage is included for local delivery. For international
order, the mailing charge is calculated as follows:

Handling
Charge
A special surcharge will be imposed for oversized and extremely
heavy books. The surcharge varies depending on the size
and weight of the book. The actual amount of the surcharge
will be determined by TDC and such decision shall be binding
on and payable by you.
Extra
Fee
For orders placed outside Hong Kong, customs and import
duties and other fees and levies may be payable and all
these will be charged to you. You agree to pay all these
customs, duties, fees and levies and acknowledge that they
may vary from country to country.
Payment
Method
Orders from Hong Kong are paid by HK$. For international
orders, we will accept US$.
Credit
Card payment by Visa or Mastercard will be accepted. Order
details and credit card information can be submitted on-line
(the data will be encrypted by SSL technics) or by fax to
TDC at (852)2824-0249.
Electronic Ordering Security
To safeguard your credit information, BookShop adopts,
the most advance security system available - Secure Socket
Layer(SSL). SSL encrypts all ordering information so that
your order, including your name, address and credit card
number, cannot be read in transit.
We will
not charge your credit card until the bank gives us the
authorisation. If we fail to get authorisation code from
your bank, the order will be cancelled automatically and
we will inform you by email.
Delivery
For orders to be delivered to destinations within Hong Kong,
deliveries will normally be received within 4 to 5 business
days after payment has been received. For orders to be delivered
to destinations outside Hong Kong, it may take about 21
business days or more for the publications to arrive at
the specified destinations.
TDC
does not guarantee or warrant the prompt delivery or receipt
of items ordered, and does not accept responsibility for
any direct or indirect losses arising out of any delay in
delivery. Any delay in delivery will not be a ground for
you to cancel the order or to claim for any refund or return
of the item(s) ordered.
Submit
and Tracking Order
Make sure all the information you provided is accurate and
click the "OK" button to submit your order. You
will be given an order reference number which should be
quoted in all your future enquiries about your order.
Once
you have submitted an order, it constitutes a legally binding
offer made by you to purchase the item(s) ordered. Your
offer will be irrevocable, and no change or cancellation
of the order will be accepted.
If you
would like to check your ordering status, simple click the
"Order Status" button and key in your order reference
number.
Legal Effect
The above Terms of Sales are legally binding on you. By
placing your order you agree to be bound by these Terms
of Sales and also the terms and conditions in the User Agreement.
The
above Sales Terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong
Special Administrative Region.
