Hong Kong Fashion Week for Spring/Summer
¡°We specialise in clothes for large-size women, everything from sporty to elegant. I¡¯m keen to find new factories that can make garments for our market in Argentina and our internet business in Europe. We can also investigate the market for bigger sizes in Asia. I¡¯ve already met with factories that will be suitable for our younger range, and an Indian supplier of scarves and other accessories, and even jewellery suppliers. The organisation of this fair is perfect ¡ª staff are very kind and efficient.¡±
Lidia Urdinez, Owner, Portofem, Argentina
"This is my first time at Hong Kong Fashion Week. ECRU already works with companies in Hong Kong and the Chinese mainland and I am keen to increase these partnerships. HKTDC has been very helpful ¡ª meetings with exhibitors have been set up in advance, for example. I will also take the opportunity to watch some of the fashion shows.¡±
Anthony Korn, Commercial Director, ECRU, France
Summer Sourcing Show
"My company operates 135 stores specialising in arts & crafts. This is my first time at this show ¡ª the July timing allows me to source for the early part of next year. In addition, we have just developed a hobby goods section, so I am particularly interested in items such as race-car sets, telescopes and microscopes. I have seen things in these categories that have interested me and I have gathered information from the suppliers for follow up."
Bill Maisch, Senior Buyer, A.C. Moore Arts & Crafts, Inc., US
"It is very convenient for me to come here every year to source products for our own brands in the field of plush and gifts. We always find new suppliers here, which is important because we need new ideas. The facilities here are always good ¡ª we have no problems as far as organisation is concerned."
Yu Siew Leng, Managing Director, Win (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd., Malaysia
