Besides keyword search, you can also locate the right piece of information through browsing a directory of categories and sub-categories. The directory is a listing of documents, which are classified into categories and sub-categories by our web editors.
When the keywords match with our predefined concepts, the matched categories will be displayed. If you click on one of the related categories, you'll see a list of results which are all about that particular subject. You can also drill down to the exact category or subcategory that contains information more relevant to your search.

Results Grouping
When you
input keywords for searching, the matched documents will be grouped into
four major categories based on their content nature. Click on the tab
for the kind of information you want:
All
All matched documents based on the input keywords.
Products &
Companies
All search results under this tab are related to product and company
information.
Trade Events
All search results under this tab provide useful information on trade
events in Hong Kong and also outside Hong Kong including exhibitions
and seminars organized by TDC or other organisations.
Market Intelligence
All search results under this tab are market news and information prepared
by TDC and its partners.
Videos
All search results under this tab are multimedia webcasting of worldwide market and industry information.
Others
All search results under this tab are useful references and hyperlinks
to external websites.

Language Selection
Set
language preferences for documents to be searched. You can switch to either
English or Chinese content or both.

Total Matched Documents
The total number
of documents matched with the input search terms.

Search Result
Each listing
of search result contains a title, description and source of the document.

Search Within Results
"Search within
Results" helps you refine your search results. You can select the radial
button "Search within Results" at the bottom of search result page and
input the new keyword. A quick search will be initiated to search within
the existing searched documents. You can do this refinement search indefinitely
until you are satisfied with the results.

Recommended Links
According to your input keywords, our web editor will recommend some of
the sites within hktdc.com, which may particularly fit your needs or
interests. Just click on the links to enter the sites.

Advanced Search
Advanced search
helps you get the search results with higher accuracy and specificity.
Below are the options you can have. The more restrictions you select,
the results will be more specific.

2. Content Type
You can refine the search results by content type: All, Products & companies, Events, Market intelligence or Videos.
3. Language
You can specify the language of the returned documents.
4.
Last Updated
You can
limit your search results that have been updated within past 3, 6 or 12
months.
5.
Results Display
By default,
this search engine normally shows 15 results per page. However, you can
choose the number of results displayed per page to be 10, 30, 50 and 100.
